Working with Social Place for Ballymore, this was a long-form piece of engagement work with young women around Camley Street in Camden, who worked as paid researchers into their experiences of the area in advance of its redevelopment, with a particular focus on safety and what would make the space more welcoming.

The researchers mapped the area, creating films, photographs and texts to communicate their experiences of the space, particularly in the dark, and then worked with the design team and Camden Council to develop specific interventions for the area, from better-maintained lighting to playful spaces for all ages.

The outputs included a film created by the researchers, a report and a zine which expressed their ideas for the underpass.
